Michigan Congressman Wants 50-Cent Tax Hike on Every Gallon of Gas

You know what...I didn't even need to read the article (I did, BTW) to know there was a "D" at the end of that congressman's name. :-\

Just out of curiosity, what would you suggest be used to fund road construction, maintenance, and expansion? The gas taxes are already drastically short of how much is needed. Much of that money ends up coming out of the general budget and thus, personal and corporate income taxes.

I write a blog called Transit Sleuth and often blog about these things. I'd be curious to hear your 2 cents on the matter.
